Experience
Mr. David Vogt has been a Civil Engineer since 1971, with project management responsibilities involving civil, architectural, surveying, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, site selection and construction management. As principal and founder of this firm, he specialized in all aspects of land development and his technical expertise includes site investigations, soils investigations, site work design, quality control, wastewater collection and treatment, water distribution and supply, storm water drainage, and floodplain determination. He is also experienced in conceptual design, environmental risk assessment, environment permitting, opinions of cost,value engineering, bond financing reports, construction drawings, specification writing, contract documents, bidding and negotiation as well as construction contract administration.
Mr. Vogt has served as a Director and as the 1988 Chairman of the Board of the South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce. Active with the Montgomery County United Way, he served as Campaign Chairman, a member of the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Board in 1994-95. Mr. Vogt is a graduate of Leadership Houston Class VIII (1988) and continues to be active with that leadership formation group. Mr. Vogt also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Lone Star College System (LCSC).
Mr. Vogt and Vogt Engineering are members of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Association of Water Board Directors (AWBD), Texas Council of Engineering Companies (TXCEC) and American Water Works Association (AWWA). Vogt Engineering participated in the City of Houston's Neighborhoods to Standards Project, Mayor Bob Lanier's program to rejuvenate aging neighborhoods to prevent their decline thereby fostering community support. Mr. Vogt holds a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan and he is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
